Join a.p. and TLTRPreß on March 11th at 6:00pm for an event celebrating their 77th anniversary (in dog years) and the launch of Habib William Kherbek’s book Still Dancing. The evening will unfold with a series of readings and performances featuring TLTRPreß contributors including Ivan Cheng, Adrienne Herr, Habib William Kherbek, Maru Mushtrieva, Matti Gajek, Aleksandra Bielas and Matilda Tjäder. Throughout the evening, Monika Januleviciutē will be giving tattoos, and the full range of TLTRPreß’s titles (including special editions) will be for sale. All income from the book sale of TLTRPreß titles will be donated to those affected by the attack on Ukraine.
TLTRPreß is an independent publishing platform founded in 2011 by Martin Kohout. Their program spans artists’ books, experimental novels, readers, magazines, e-publications, and more, with each book’s form and design intrinsically linked to its content.
TLTRPreß’s most recent release bears the full title Still Dancing: Writing About Dancing About Architecture, Infrastructure, Access, Economics, Inter Alia. Edited by Habib William Kherbek, the texts within follow the expansive nature of the title, ranging from elaborately-laid-out poetry to more-essayistic writings. The formally inventive book can be read either front-to-back or back-to-front, with one half of each page occupied by black-and-white stills of a dancer, calling to mind a flip book.
Attendance is free but space is limited; visit this link to register. The event will be held in accordance with 2G+ rules.
