Giovanni Fontana: Epigenetic Poetry

Giovanni Fontana

Publisher:
Danilo Montanari
'Epigenetic Poetry' is an anthology documenting the sound works by the Italian sound poet Giovanni Fontana. Fontana has been a pioneer of Italian visual poetry, sound poetry, and experimental theater since the mid-1960s. Academics from around the world contributed their analysis on his multidimensional work, from Barbara Meazzi on “archi-texture” to Collette Tron on “poetic organicities.” The latter is the artistic director at Alphabetville, a multimedia writing laboratory which collaborated with Fondazione Bonotto and CIPM Centre International de Poésie Marseille on an exhibition presenting a series of new works developed specifically by the artist for the event.
